A film by Devin Smock
On the chaotic first day of business, Charlie—a washed-up dreamer in his 40s—opens Pizza Records, a vinyl shop/live venue hybrid staffed by a barely functioning crew of misfits. As customers pour in, technical failures, romantic tension, and one deeply confused regular named Kevin spiral the "grand opening" into a hilarious disaster. Shot mockumentary-style inside a real record store, For the Record skewers indie culture, workplace dynamics, and the fragile egos behind the counter.
